We’re a global stakeholder relations and partnership building consultancy.
The Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) Nigeria is the national chapter of the world’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to advancing the employee assistance (EA) profession. We are a dynamic network of professionals committed to promoting the health, well-being, and productivity of Nigeria’s workforce through high-quality employee assistance programs and services.
Our mission is to equip EA professionals, organizations, and institutions with the knowledge, resources, and standards needed to deliver effective workplace behavioral health solutions. Whether through counseling, training, crisis management, or organizational consulting, EAPA Nigeria serves as a hub for excellence in EA practices.
We provide a platform for professional development, collaboration, and policy advocacy while maintaining global best practices tailored to the Nigerian context. Through conferences, certifications, workshops, and ongoing education, we empower members and stakeholders to meet the evolving needs of employees and employers alike.
At EAPA Nigeria, we believe that healthy employees build thriving organizations—and we are here to support that vision every step of the way.
HISTORY OF EAPA—NIGERIA
The EAP into Nigeria project was launched in July 2012 by the then President of EAPA International Jeff Christy. The Launching was done during an international conference sponsored by Chevron Corporation and hosted by the EAP unit of Chevron Nigeria. EAPA International and EAPA South Africa coordinated the conference. Participants were drawn from Nigeria, South Africa, Angola, United States of America and China.
In 2013, EAPA Nigeria was registered as a member and chapter of EAPA International.
Early 2015, the Association was registered as a professional body with the government in Nigeria– (EAPA – NIGERIA). Since the inauguration of the association, it has continued to train and develop the capacity of her members across the country.
Presently the association is working with universities to make EAP a degree programme in the country. It has also helped some industrial organization to start EAP services for her employees.
EAPA-Nigeria is in close collaboration with allied professional bodies, corporate entities, mental health institutions, government agencies, and EAP Associations in Africa and the world at large.
We bring more than 12 years’ senior experience in forging
collaborations across government.
